"For almost four years, I have suffered from pains around my face due to both my ATM dsyfunction (TMJ) and Trigeminal Neuralgia. Needless to say, I've been using a multitude of anti-pain (TENS, cryotherapy, ultrasound...) not to mention the countless meetings with various practitioners (physiotherapists, osteopaths...). "My experience with PainSolv came after I suffered many allergies, and after failed treatment for these, I became very sensitive to pain medication, which produced under eye swelling every time I took normal doses of e.g. paracetamol or ibuprofen. So I purchased a PainSolv to deal with aches and pains that I’d normally have taken oral medication for.

The first thing I used the PainSolv on, was my lower back. I have had a series of accidents involving impact on my lower back, including a car crash. My lower back has chronic soft tissue damage, and, is prone to severe muscle spasm, sprains, and slipping a disc from time to time. This causes acute pain. When this happens, I can be unable to stand up straight or walk. I can just about get to the bathroom bent double! "After a freak accident some years ago at an Enduro cross-country event, when I was a young but active 77 years old, I thought my active life was over due to sustaining a gluteal tendon detachment from the greater trochanter. This meant I had to give up my much-loved long walks across the fields, in the woods and up and down the hills around my farm and could only swim using my arms.

"Some months ago I bought the PainSolv device you’ve been advertising. I was very doubtful, but as it was on a risk free 60 days trial it had to be some good. Anyway I was having trouble with my knees and I stopped going anywhere where there were any steps. Even three or four.

"What follows is the story of my injury and remarkable recovery, in which the Painsolv played a huge part. On March 19th 2010 I fell on the last day of my skiing holiday, and realised I had damaged my right knee. I went to A&E on arrival back in the UK. My knee was very swollen, able to move only about 5 degrees of flexion, very painful and bruised. Even my toes were swollen and bruised.

X-ray revealed I had broken the head of my fibula ( narrow bone on outside of lower leg) so I was put in a full leg plaster. The concern was the I also had ligament damage so a MRI scan was booked for 3 weeks later.

I saw an orthopaedic consultant 1 week later who agreed to remove the plaster and put me in a hinged knee brace, as long as I was very careful not to weight bear on the leg or twist it.
 
A physiotherapist gave me instruction in using crutches and advised me that the biggest problem for most people was not he original injury, but the muscle wasting and joint stiffness. She gave me exercises to do but explained pain would limit my progress. Average recovery times were 6 -9 MONTHS! And that was without allowing for any reconstructive surgery should it become necessary, which would be another 6 – 9 months recovery. I was pretty miserable!
 
My mother has had back problems all her life. She visits and osteopath 3- 4 times a year to keep things under control, but has residual pain and immobility, plus she now has arthritis in various joints. She has used a Painsolv for a while now, and thinks it’s wonderful. I had tried it when visiting her, for various sporting aches and pains ( I am a runner and play tennis) and found it helpful. When she heard my tale of woe, she lent me her Painsolv and advised me to buy my own if I found any benefit, which I subsequently did.
I used the Painsolv on my knee religiously.
 
I stopped needing any other painkillers, not even when doing my exercises to strengthen m knee and the stretches to increase my range of movement. I was putting my weight through my leg by 4 weeks, and given the OK by my consultant to start to drive again. I was discharged from physio after 9 weeks because I had 90% range of movement in my knee compared to the other leg.
 
I was warned to be careful because my knee could twist or give way if there was ligament damage as they suspected, but I kept using the Painsolv every day, doing the strengthening and stretching exercises, and slowly weaning myself off wearing the brace.
 
I attribute the quick recovery to the fact the I was able to follow a fairly intensive physio programme because I was pain free and the swelling had subsided, for which I credit the Painsolv.
 
Now the most remarkable part of my story! I had had my MRI scan 3 weeks after the accident, and when my consultant saw the results he referred me to a knee injury specialist – my knee was apparently a bit of a mess. He also warned me I would possibly need major reconstructive surgery, or I would have to limit my activity in the future and wear a knee brace to stabilise m knee joint. I am 51 years of age and I got the impression that they thought I should just resign myself to a more sedentary way of life!
 
I saw the knee specialist in early August ( by that time I had stopped using the knee brace, and I was playing club tennis again, albeit fairly gently, and running very short distances). He and his colleagues spent a long time examining me and performing various manoeuvres to demonstrate knee joint laxity, none of which were positive. They made me go over the sequence of events from the accident several times as well. They were in no doubt that I had completely ruptured my anterior cruciate ligament, as well as the fracture. There was also some wear and tear in the joint – to be expected in 51 year old knees that have run skied and played a lot of tennis!
 
The outcome of all this is that the consultant and his team were amazed at the stability of my joint, and the condition of my knee ( full range of movement and no obvious muscle wasting ) and told me that although there are reports of the anterior cruciate ligament very occasionally re-attaching and healing itself, he had never seen it before.
 
In summary, he wished me well, told me to get on with my life, and the only stipulation was that I should wear a knee support this year if I ski ( I have just this week booked for March 2011! ).
 
As is sometimes the case, since the injury, I have spoken to lots of people who had the same injury, and most of them have had to have surgery, with a long and painful recovery. Often after surgery the knee can be very painful, sometime permanently, and may never recover full mobility, so I am glad to have been spared that.
 
I have enclosed a copy of my MRI report, and also a photo of me at a Marie Cure tennis tournament that I helped to organise in June 2010 ( and played in but did not win!) for your interest.
 
All in all, I am extremely delighted with your Painsolv. It has been hugely instrumental in my recovery. It has been excellent for pain relief, but I also think that it has helped my knee to heal and repair far beyond what I thought was possible. Thank you."

I have chronic pain in my right shoulder dating from circa 2004 fall onto a stump(silly me). "I wanted to tell you the type of pain I have successfully used the PainSolv for - angina. Some years after purchase of my first product, in 2008, I was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome. Several emergency admissions to hospital followed during which I was given medication to break up blood clots and thin my blood. Now it is a case of managing my condition for which I take 75mg of aspirin per day. I have refused Statins due to the listed side effects though my consultant would like me to take them.

An aspect of my condition is that from time to time I get chest pain, known as angina-I do have to say, however, that this was on the relatively mild end of the spectrum as my condition is well managed.

However, it is frightening, and at times bad enough to keep me awake at night. The medication given by the hospital, which is sprayed on the tongue, gave relief from the pain, but really that relief lasted only about 20 minutes, and, after that it returned, and the side effect was a very severe headache, which in my case was at least as bad as the angina.

So, I began using the PainSolv on the chest area, pointing it at the source of the pain, and changing the setting to cover all the possibilities, as it were. I would start on stress or pain setting, then, as there was damage to my heart and arteries, for good measure, I would also use the wound setting.

I am the sort of person who is quite daring, I will often use supplements or products I have researched myself in place of conventional medicine, and I would not want to stop anybody from using the medication given for angina by a doctor or hospital, if the person concerned was nervous about going against the doctor’s wishes, or was finding the medication adequate. However, I would say to anyone, if their angina is mild to moderate, it's worth trying PainSolv alongside medication because it has worked wonders for me - and, if they are as dissatisfied as I was with the hospital medication, maybe try the PainSolv for a few minutes first - at least they can use it alongside their medication as they won't have to take so much!

I will also mention, that if I do take any medication that does cause the under eye swelling mentioned, or, if I get it for any other reason (spicy food can do it)- then the PainSolv used on the wound setting, on the worst areas of the swelling, brings the swelling down far quicker than just leaving it to nature to take it’s course. I heartily recommend the product to anyone and everyone!"

"I suffered for three long years extreme pain from post herpetic neuralgia (PHN) which was a legacy of a shingles attack in 2005. "As a woman of 54 who has had no children, I was dismayed and alarmed to suddenly develop slight bladder incontinence. I have been a long distance runner however, and have read that this can be a result of the running over many years.

Notwithstanding this, I suspected an infection but lab tests were negative. Along with others, I get cystitis type symptoms when I accidentally take aspartame or other sweeteners hiding in drinks etc. and have carefully eliminated these.
